How often should I have my piano tuned?<\/summary>\n

Most pianos should be tuned at least once or twice a year to stay in good condition. Newer pianos or those in frequent use may benefit from more frequent tunings.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

How long does a tuning take?<\/summary>\n

A standard tuning usually takes about two hours or less. If I notice any small regulation or repair issues during the appointment, I\u2019ll address them if time allows.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

What forms of payment do you accept?<\/summary>\n

I accept card, tap-to-pay, cash, check, Zelle, and PayPal at this time. If a different form of payment is needed, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Do I need to do anything to prepare for my appointment?<\/summary>\n

Please make sure the area on top of and around the piano is clear and accessible. The piano does not need to be moved away from the wall. A quiet environment helps with speed & accuracy, but I can work in varying levels of noise. I love all pets, both big and small, and they will not bother me, but I will need a safe place to set piano cabinet parts during the tuning where they can be out of the way of feet & paws. <\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

What if my piano hasn\u2019t been tuned in years?<\/summary>\n

No problem! Pianos that are significantly out of tune may require a pitch raise\u2014a preliminary adjustment to bring the piano closer to standard pitch before a fine tuning. I\u2019ll assess this at the start of the appointment and explain any extra steps needed.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Can you fix sticky keys or other mechanical problems?<\/summary>\n

Yes! I offer regulation and repair services for many common issues which include but are not limited to: sticky or sluggish keys, broken strings, double-striking keys, notes that don\u2019t sound or produce weak tone, buzzing, pedals not working properly, damper issues, loose or broken key caps, and many more. If it\u2019s something I can fix during the tuning appointment, I will. Otherwise, we can schedule a follow-up visit.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n
